On the 2nd of February I received the great news of being selected as a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). Auditions take place every year, with applications from thousands of musicians of Europe.
On the 11th of January I was awarded the 3rd prize in the International Clarinet Competition “Guy Deplus”, in which clarinetists form 27 countries participated.
A few weeks ago I was selected as a reserve member for the Gustav Mahler Academy.
I was also selected some months ago as a reserve member for the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, after having done the audition in February.
From the 8th till the 13th of April the 14th edition of the “Terras de la Salette” Wind Instruments International Competition took place in Oliveira de Azeméis (Portugal).
I participated in the top category of clarinet (19 – 29 years) and received the 2nd prize. The first prize was not awarded.
The selection auditions took place in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) on the 7th of April and I was selected to play solo with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia.
The festival dates are June 28 – July 3 and it will be this last day when I play the Concerto for clarinet and string orchestra with harp and piano by Aaron Copland in the Auditorio de Galicia. All the info here
